Happy 7 Months!

Weighing in at 17 lbs, 12 oz, a whopping 27.75" long, we have...Sammy!

Modeling his only slightly-large 9-12 mos. clothing.

Teething hurts.

"Oh, you want to see my teeth?"

"Never mind!"

Updated statistics:
-17 lbs., 12 oz. (25th percentile), 27.75" long (75th percentile). Though I don't remember the measurement, his head is also 75th percentile. We call him our little Bratz doll.
-Though he still fits in all 6-9 mos. onesies, and many 3-6 mos. onesies, he's growing out of 6-9 mos. pants and pajamas so we've had to move some clothes to larger sizes!
-He can get into crawling position in his and inches backwards along the floor. He'll even let you chase him and squeal happily. He can also control his turning. He practices crawling regularly in his sleep, which sometimes wakes him up, and other times just results in confusing his parents by sleep-crying and bicycling his legs. He has moved forward (accidentally) twice
-He can smoothly transition from sitting to crawling position. Sometimes.
-He has two whole teeth in the bottom front (which he doesn't like to show) and he's getting more! They don't seem to bother him too much, though it definitely hurts.
-He loves other babies! David and Benny are his best friends.
-He can say Da-da, Ma-ma, a soft "Pa" noise, and we're convinced we heard "Heh-Grr" (Heather)
-He growls. I have no idea who taught him that...
-He laughs at funny faces or in anticipation of tickles
-He eats solids at least one meal a day now. So far he has had rice cereal, bananas, applesauce, carrots, sweet potatoes, peas, and avocado. His favorite is avocado, but he has liked everything so far. He just likes to make faces when he starts every meal.
-He can mush up larger chunks of food with his tongue now (banana and avocado).
-He likes to have water from a drinking straw dripped onto his tongue while he eats.
-He squeals loudly in public if loud noises are happening (this is happy, but...loud).
-He grabs for Goodnight Moon when he gets tired

Update!!! As I was finishing this post, I glimpsed some movement out of the corner of my eye. He moved forward TWICE very purposely in a Mowgli fashion a la his cousins. Now he's crying because he doesn't know how he did it.

We're Back!

"We're cousins! (Not) Identical cousins!"

David wanted to stand out, I think

"Quick everybody! Put your hands in your mouth!"
